Transfer All Local Missing Persons Cases to State Police or FBI

The Issue

Eight years ago, Jesse Farber, a loving father of two young children and my life partner, mysteriously disappeared. His case remains unsolved to this day. Our family's story is not unique; there are countless families in our area who are also desperate for answers about their missing loved ones.

In the United States alone, as of December 31, 2020, there were over 89,000 active missing persons cases (source: National Crime Information Center). Many of these cases remain unresolved due to lack of resources or expertise at the local level. We believe that transferring all local missing persons cases to state police or the FBI can significantly increase the chances of solving these heartbreaking mysteries.

State police and federal agencies like the FBI have more extensive resources and specialized training that can help expedite investigations into missing persons cases. By involving them in all local cases from the start, we could potentially bring closure to thousands of families who have been waiting for years.

We urge our legislators and law enforcement leaders to make this change. It's time we do more for our missing loved ones and their families who deserve answers. Please sign this petition if you agree that all local missing person's cases should be handed over to state police or FBI immediately.
