The community consultation planned for the future use of George Carnall is dependent on the Labour Party remaining in control of Trafford Council.
There are over 5,000 people who have signed the petition to save the centre from closure and many more who support the campaign and if all those same people truly do want it to remain open for the community then it is absolutely vital that the Labour Party remain in control of Trafford Council.

The leader Andy Western and his party have tirelessly supported us with our fight to save the centre and have it preserved for future generations.
The consultation can be the defining moment because the community will have the opportunity to prove to the Council what overwhelming support there is for the centre.

If the Conservatives were to regain control of the Council then any hope of George Carnall being saved from closure will virtually be nil because I'd like to remind everyone that in 2017 at a full Council meeting the Labour Party put forward a motion to reverse the decision to close the centre, there were 30 Conservative Councillors who voted on it and every one of them voted for the closure, not a single one was willing to stand up for our community so if anyone thinks that you can rely on the support of your Conservative Councillor then forget it.

This campaign seems to have gone on as long as Brexit and many people will have got bored with it but please stay focused on it for a while longer because after 2 years of hard work from our campaign team the destiny of the centre is now in our hands and we really can save George Carnall from closure and will then hopefully see the centre upgraded with the investment it deserves but firstly we must keep the Labour party in control.
