THIS UPDATE HAS BEEN RE-POSTED BECAUSE THE LINK TO THE REPORT DIDN'T SHOW.
Because George Carnall plays such a pivotal role for the well-being of the school children in the community a number of parents have asked if their children will be allowed a say in what they would like at the centre and if so will there be an age restriction.
Trafford Council have informed us that they will be welcome to have their voice when the consultation takes place and that there is no age restiction.
We consider this to be great news, after all they are the future and they need to be listened to and if anyone is in any doubt about that then please take time out to read the report published only months ago by the GOVERNMENT CHILDREN'S COMMISSIONER especially the section WHAT CHILDREN TELL US.
This report highlights in great detail why it is of vital importance that George Carnall must never be closed and that when the consultation takes place we must prove to Trafford Council that regardless of suggestions for the land within its boundary the number 1 priority must be that the centre remains in its present format for future generations.
