Subject: Petition for Immediate Repair of Roads, Filling of Potholes, Improvement of Traffic Management, and Road Widening in Keshavnagar, Mundhwa, Pune

Respected Sir,

We, the residents of Keshavnagar, Mundhwa, Pune, respectfully submit this petition to bring to your attention the severe deterioration of road infrastructure and worsening traffic congestion in our locality.

Keshavnagar has witnessed rapid residential and commercial development over the past few years. However, the road infrastructure has not kept pace with this growth. The existing roads are narrow, poorly maintained, and riddled with large potholes, making daily commuting extremely difficult and hazardous.

The key issues faced by residents are as follows:

1. Roads full of potholes: The roads throughout Keshavnagar are in a deplorable condition, with numerous potholes causing damage to vehicles and posing serious risks to motorists, cyclists, pedestrians, school children, and senior citizens. During the monsoon, waterlogging conceals these potholes, significantly increasing the risk of accidents.

2. Severe traffic congestion: The narrow roads are unable to accommodate the increasing volume of traffic generated by the growing number of residential societies and commercial establishments. Traffic jams during peak hours have become a daily occurrence, resulting in wasted time, increased fuel consumption, and delays for emergency vehicles.

3. Need for road widening: Several major roads connecting Keshavnagar to Mundhwa, Magarpatta, Kharadi, and Hadapsar are inadequate for current traffic volumes. Immediate road widening is essential to improve traffic flow and ensure public safety.

4. Poor drainage and recurring road damage: Inadequate stormwater drainage causes water to accumulate on roads during the rainy season, accelerating road deterioration and creating unsafe conditions for commuters.

5. Public safety concerns: The poor condition of the roads has led to frequent accidents, traffic bottlenecks, and inconvenience for thousands of residents. Emergency services, school buses, and public transport are also adversely affected.

In view of the above, we humbly request your kind intervention to direct the concerned authorities to:

1. Undertake immediate repair and resurfacing of all damaged roads in Keshavnagar and Mundhwa.

2. Fill all potholes on a priority basis before they result in further accidents. 

3. Sanction and execute the widening of major roads connecting Keshavnagar with surrounding areas.

4. Improve drainage infrastructure to prevent waterlogging and recurring road damage.

5. Implement effective traffic management measures, including proper road markings, traffic signals, and deployment of traffic personnel during peak hours.

6. Ensure regular inspection and maintenance of roads to prevent future deterioration.

7. The residents of Keshavnagar have repeatedly raised these concerns with the local authorities. However, despite continuous representations, permanent solutions have yet to be implemented. Given the area's rapid growth and the increasing population, immediate action is necessary to safeguard public safety and improve the quality of life for thousands of citizens.
