Tommorow, Councillors have the power to vote against the recommendation from City of Yarra Officers, who have tried to defend their neglect to provide play equipment for Children in Collingwood on outdated statistcs and a flawed consultation process, yet they have proudly spent 200K on art in Cambridge St Reserve without batting an eyelid nor consulting the community.
Your voice is paramount to reiterate the importance of investing and providing development and play opportunities for children in one of the most dense, fastest growing suburbs in Melbourne.

Subject: Cambridge St Playground
Dear Mayor Crossland and Councillors,
I am writing regarding the “Cambridge St Reserve – Consideration of additional play equipment” report that is being voted for at Tuesday’s Council Meeting.
I kindly implore that you vote for [option 2] which provides diverse infrastructure for a larger range of ages and will be a supportive asset to residents, local children and the future residential growth of our inclusive suburb of Collingwood.
I live <on Cambridge St> and have <two children, aged <2 and 4> and the removal of the previous playground has had a significant and direct impact on me.
Please reinstate suitable and varied play equipment as a matter of urgency.
Thank you,
<Your Name>
