Dear Supporters,

Following your petition signatures, emails & media attention, Yarra City Council have prepared a report discussing options for additional equipment at Cambridge St Reserve.

Going against local outcry, the council have recommended making no changes to the park, despite 5 other options outlined. Thankfully, the decision ultimately lies with councillors, not the council, THIS Tuesday 13th February!

You can view the report (from page 9) here. We are pushing for option 2, which provides the most diverse range of equipment for multiple ages, with minimal (13%) impact of grass space.

Due to this being a councillor decision WE NEED YOUR HELP.

1: By COB Monday 12th February, please send an email to councillors@yarracity.vic.gov.au (example below) outlining which option you would like to see in the park. The council isn't convinced it’s locals that want to see this change (due to National media attention), so please include your connection to the playground (e.g. how close you live, if you care for/have children, how many, what age etc. as relevant).

I am writing regarding the “Cambridge St Reserve – Consideration of additional play equipment” report that is being voted for at Tuesday’s Council Meeting.

I kindly implore that you vote for <option 2>. <Option 2> provides diverse infrastructure for a larger range of ages and will be a supportive asset to residents, local children and the future residential growth of our inclusive suburb of Collingwood.

I live <on Cambridge St> and have <two children, aged <2 and 4> and the removal of the previous playground has had a significant and direct impact on me.
