Thanks to your support and emails, Councillors voted against the Officer’s  recommendation to do nothing, and instead to go to consultation on play equipment options for Cambridge St Reserve.

Your input is vital now more than ever. Have your say here to influence the final design and decision from council.

While we would have preferred to avoid this timely process and proceed directly into playground installation, it is a huge win - but we’re not there yet!

1. Go to https://yoursayyarra.com.au/cambridge-street-reserve-play-space and review the proposed concepts

2. Select the option you prefer most

Option 1 = replacement of chin up bars, installation of nature play and foursquare

Options 2, 3 & 4 = replacement of chin up bars, nature play, foursquare AND support for additional play equipment where the balance beam is currently located

Don’t worry too much about the equipment examples for option 2, 3 & 4 - we have been informed they are indicative, and will be treated as one response in favour for additional equipment on the grass.

3. If you aren’t in favour of the equipment examples provided, think they can offer a better alternative, or would like to see any other options incorporated into the final design, please include that in the comments box. This will be the difference of just accepting what has been proposed vs. pleading for what should have been delivered in the first place.

4. Don’t forget to fill out the survey on behalf of your child as well, and for each member of your household, share with those in your friendship and family circle who might use this park with you - every submission counts!
