All body on frame full size SUVs such as the Chevy Tahoe, Ford Expedition, Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, the Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer and all other full size body on frame SUVs today have independent rear suspensions which means that mid size body on frame SUVs need to have independent rear suspensions. The main reason why all full size body on frame SUVs have independent rear suspensions now because having an independent rear suspension allows for enhanced comfort, better ride quality, and more room inside especially the third row and cargo area and a flatter and lower cargo floor and that needs to apply on midsize truck based body on frame SUVs because I know that not everyone wants a full size body on frame SUV and some families go towing, and off roading on occasions and they may need just a mid size. I know there are some minor downsides of an independent suspension like slightly worse performance on crawling on rocks and less maximum weight capacity but an independent rear suspension would be better for the Toyota 4Runner and Lexus GX, an independent rear suspension shouldn’t impact their off roading performances too bad since they’re body on frame. Also, the Toyota 4Runner is a really popular vehicle in the US what my stepdad told me in my petition about bringing midsize truck based body on frame SUVs to North American markets and some people use the Toyota 4Runner and/or Lexus GX as family vehicles and I certainly want them to have enough room for their stuff and be plenty comfortable and a lot of people are no different from that. Also, this will benefit sales figures because having more cavernous space will motivate people into buying that product.
