For the 2023-2024 school year Towson University has created a new meal plan, raising prices and limiting the value of our meal swipes. Although giving us unlimited access to dining halls, Towson has taken away the option to use our choosing # of meal swipes at campus favorites such as Dunkin, Chick-fil-a, Torta Fresca, Starbucks, etc. Many students choose to budget their meals in a certain way to avoid having to eat in dining halls everyday. The current year’s 14 meals a week plan value (2,910 a semester) is equivalent to next years Silver plan (2,900 a semester) which includes unlimited dining hall swipes, $100 dining dollars and just ONE tiger meal. For those who do not regularly use their meal swipes at dining halls, it’s easy to see that the value of next years meal plan is a scam. Please sign this petition to revoke the institution of the new unnecessarily more expensive Towson University meal plans 2023-2024. We pay enough to be here as is, does Towson really need any more money?
