The Langley RCMP are not the police of the people. They do not serve and protect. They are selective with whom they serve and whom they protect. The taxpayers of the Township of Langley do not receive the policing services that they deserve. 

The Langley RCMP does not have a mental health services unit, nor do they have 24/7 victim services support. When the victim services departments are open, the victim service workers are usually "in court proceedings" and are unable to answer the phones.

The Langley RCMP is one of few jurisdictions that is still under the old radio systems and is not on a modern, fluid, and connected radio system under eComm 911. With not having a connected radio system under eComm 911, RCMP, EHS and Township Fire are unable to systematically communicate with one another.

Notably, there are many great features that eComm 911 has, knowingly, a robust dispatch system, communication support (TextTo911) for the deaf and hard-of-hearing (HOH) community, and the knowledge and training that staff need to become emergency dispatchers and operators. 

The RCMP is connected to the 'Safe Place' initiative, which most LGBTQ2SIA+ members despise, because the RCMP aren't safe, especially the Langley RCMP, towards LGBTQ2SIA+ individuals.

Let's dump the Langley RCMP and go towards a municipal policing force.
