The Town of Whitby is now ticketing cars parked sideways (ie between the sidewalk and the street).  In the past they were only ticketing if cars were parked over the sidewalks.  The issue is if you live in a townhouse and your driveway allows for one car only and you have two cars, you will now always get fined .  Parking sideways is not an option anymore.  It is an unwarranted expense to the families of Whitby and causes stress and anxiety. 

University students are doing online courses, parents are working from home and as a result "more parking" is needed - not less.  We have enough stress with COVID-19.!  SHAME ON WHITBY!!!  The Town of Whitby is money hungry.  We are getting tickets while the streets are empty.  The students, the young adults and many other people can't afford this  ridiculous expense.  Many people have reduced income at this time.  We are all in crisis with COVID-19.  Again, SHAME ON WHITBY.
