Cypress Hollow and greater Tiburon are vulnerable to crime due to the lack of street security cameras and ongoing monitoring. It is widely known that there are “loophole streets” that enable interested parties to bypass cameras, including the camera mounted on Tiburon Blvd at Bay Vista, and enter Cypress Hollow. This is concerning to the Cypress Hollow community and Tiburon residents.

Since December 31, 2021, there have been four residential break-ins in Cypress Hollow. It is clear we need to increase our security and seek help from the Town of Tiburon and our local leadership.

We, the residents of Cypress Hollow, call on the Town of Tiburon to protect our community, and greater Tiburon, by acting now on the following requests:

• Installation of license plate reading camera at the intersection of Bay Vista and Rancho Drive. 
• Installation of license plate reading camera at the intersection of Bay Vista and Cypress Hollow.
• Security Notice Signage in Cypress Hollow stating the neighborhood is protected by video surveillance.

It is our hope that the Town of Tiburon takes our concerns seriously and acts with urgency to secure our community.
