The Town of Islip Board voted to implement metered parking in the town of Bay Shore, NY starting in 2015 and has continued to spread to other areas in Bay Shore (LIRR parking lots, Maple Ave lots, Main Street, Bay Shore Marina, etc.). This project was spearheaded by Councilman John C. Cochrane, Jr. He pledged the money would go back into the towns generating the revenue, but the revenue is going into the general fund instead of being put into a special fund(s).

This project hurts local business, residents, as well as employees of the local businesses. Let the Board know how strongly you want this project ended not only in Bay Shore, but not to  implement it in any of the other local business districts (Sayville, Islip, etc.)!!!!!
