Rebuild Tunxis Meade Skatepark in Farmington, CT

Rebuild Tunxis Meade Skatepark in Farmington, CT
The Issue
Due to the successful outcome of many local skateparks’ rebuild by Rampage Skateparks, I believe that Tunxis Meade Skatepark requires a redesign of its own. Safety is also a key factor in this decision, as Tunxis has been in need of work for nearly a decade due to an excess number of cracks, uneven surface area, and skatepark features beginning to decay.
After the hugely successful rebuilds of nearby skateparks such as Stanley Quarter in New Britain, Edgewood Skatepark in New Haven, Newington Skatepark, Canton Skatepark, and Rockwell, it has become imperative that Tunxis Meade also deserves the same care and treatment. Not only have these previously stated parks seen a huge influx of visitors and beautified the area with skateparks that resemble works of art, but it also creates a safe and positive environment for active recreational activities. These sports are equally as important for building character, perseverance, and a sense of belonging as sports such as soccer, baseball, and basketball which further contributes to the importance that this particular park also receives a proper rebuild.
I ask that the Town of Farmington and Farmington Parks and Recreations seriously consider investing the time and money into rebuilding Tunxis Meade Skatepark. Rampage Skateparks has continually proven that they are the right choice in providing the expertise and creative ability when it comes to rebuilding Connecticut and nearby states’ skateparks which would do nothing but bring one more reason to visit Tunxis Meade Park in Farmington, Connecticut.
