We the people of Enfield, are calling for the resignation of Board of Education Chair Walter Kruzel.  Mr. Kruzel has a long history of demonstrating a lack of engagement with other board members as well as the Enfield residents.

He displays behavior that suggests his disinterest as a Board of Education member never mind his role as the Chair.

Mr. Kruzel has publicly disregarded the importance for public communication and/or participation in Board of Education meetings and he is visibly out of touch with the needs of our students and families.  

Although these behaviors have been apparent for quite some time, it appears to be getting worse since the start of Covid. Since the last regular meeting on March 10, 2020, he has violated a plethora of Enfield Board of Education policies, Enfield Town Charter and State of CT statutes.

These actions have been publicly displayed during Board of Education Regular, Special and Subcommittee meetings. Mr. Kruzel acts with no regard for others and lacks any presence of shame or remorse for his behavior. We are asking that you act in the best interest of the citizens of Enfield and the betterment of our school system and request Walter Kruzel's immediate resignation or removal. Mr. Kruzel has violated many of the board’s own policies as shown above and should be held accountable to the community.
