Town of Asbury Park Madison Marquette: Keep Asbury Park Convention Hall Open

Asbury Park Convention Hall is home to many organizations. Sports teams play there. Legendary concerts played there. Theater groups from all over the country have performed there. Due to a conflict between the management and the city, the Convention is scheduled to closed its doors forever. Many shops and organizations that are affiliated with the legendary location will be forced to close and move. Help us keep Asbury Park Convention Hall open!

Letter to
Madison Marquette Joe Morris
Town of Asbury Park Mayor Ed Johnson
Governor Chris Christie
and 1 other
New Jersey Governor
I just signed a petition calling the City of Asbury Park and Madison Marquette to immediately come to a resolution in regards to the Asbury Park Convention Hall, and to work together to keep a piece of history in New Jersey.

Asbury Park Convention Hall is home to many organizations. Sports teams such as the Jersey Shore Roller Girls play there. Legendary concerts like The Doors, Springsteen and Johnny Cash have played or recorded there. Theater groups from all over the country have performed at the Paramount Theatre. Many shops and organizations, within the convention hall that are affiliated with the legendary location, will be forced to close and move. Many of these call Asbury Park Convention Hall home. To not be able to reach an agreement would be to kick those people out of their homes.

We understand times are tough. The economy is working hard to make a comeback. But to have a piece of history suffer at that expense, to have the community of Asbury Park suffer is unfathomable. Please do all you can to come to an agreement quickly to keep Asbury Park’s Convention Hall Open!
