I believe the sentences handed down for knife crime in the uk are far too lenient, considering the utter devastation the decision to pick one up to use is capable of causing when someone is killed! My first born baby who was 25yrs old was stabbed and bled to death on 10/6/21,and nothing is ever going to ease the agony and devastation this has caused our family, however if I can make a difference to sentences handed down to the callous people who are guilty of using them , then maybe I can do some good.At the moment there’s no real deterrent for offenders who may choose to use a knife , but if there was then knife crime and the deaths caused by them would be much lower .
