Make all TTC stations accessible to wheel chairs (manual and electric)

The Issue

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is a public transport agency that operates transit bus, streetcar, paratransit, and rapid transit services in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Established in 1921, the TTC comprises four rapid transit lines with 69 stations, over 149 bus routes, and 10 streetcar lines.

The current TTC has only 31 subway stations that are wheelchair accessible. It is important for TTC to make all stations wheelchair accessible to allow all citizens regardless of their disability to access the transit system. This will create an equal opportunity to the citizens of Ontario using the TTC system. Everyone should have the equal right to access the public transit in the GTA.
