With Remembrance Day fast approaching I ask all of you to please support, sign and share this petition!!!

Every year since 2012 (when the decision was made to stop) I have asked the management of the TTC to put back the “Lest We Forget” destination signs on their vehicles; out of respect for our Veterans.

It’s the right thing to do, for without them, we would have no rights of freedoms. My grandfather, the late Lester C. Brown, a Canadian Second World War veteran is a wonderful example.

At the time of his passing, almost 10 years ago, he was believed by family and historians to be the last surviving Black Canadian soldier to fight in the bloody D-Day invasion of 1944. Always a man of few words, it was only until his later years that he opened up about his shocking experiences during the war, all filled with exemplary bravery yet offering insight into the great sacrifice he and his fellow soldiers endured.

Let's show support for our veterans and our fallen soldiers.
