Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council have put forward plans to introduce PAID parking in the Short Stay Car Park in West Malling. This would be hugely detrimental to the large number of independent small businesses that depend on our visitors for their trade. It would also cause chaos for local residents as it would increase parking in the many nearby roads where there is free parking. All of this has been introduced without any form of consultation or engagement with West Malling Parish Council, who have been working hard to get a sensible, balanced Parking scheme in place that works for residents, businesses and visitors.
