I write in regard to Ty Emberson who was recently selected to represent Team USA at the 2016 Youth Olympic Games. I understand that Ty would be declared ineligible for participation with his Eau Claire Memorial High School team should he decide to participate in the 2016 Youth Olympic Games. I would like to emphasize the significance of this program for USA Hockey and the direct connectivity it has with our overall Olympic Development program as recognized by the United States Olympic Committee.

Ty should not have to choose between representing his high school and representing his country.
