The name "Metro Heights" doesn't properly fit in this community. The name should reflect the beauty of the city of Montebello. Metro heights is a solid description of city life however this town is a small subset in the Los Angeles suburbs. The name Montebello can be translated into "beautiful mountains". Driving through the 60 fwy, the first thing you'll notice are the great, big beautiful hills.

Montebello is known for their green parks, which they take full pride in. The city houses many animals including the horse stables off of Bluff road and the family Zoo at Grant Rea Park. As a new addition to this community, Metro Heights is hardly a good description of the mountains that surround and are most literally the highest peak of this little town. The name Metro Heights hardly reflects the city of Montebello and is slightly harsh rolling off the tongue. The purpose of this petition is to change the current name of the housing construction site to a name the citizens of Montebello could be proud of.
