TokyoPop uncancel and release The Owl House light novel
The Issue
"In early 2022, it was announced that TokyoPop unfortunately cancelled plans to develop a light novel based around the Disney TV Animation series, The Owl House(created by Dana Terrace), for "reasons", and yet they continued on developing a book based around their other animated show that they green-lit that same day in 2018, Amphibia(which was created by Matt Braly) titled "Marcy's Journal", which was released last December, where that novel told the events of that show and its fan favorite character, Marcy Wu.

For Owl House fans, it was a major loss, as the show already suffered enough for having the show itself be shortened from its third season being cut short, on top of having little to zero merchandise sold in stores(Funko Pops?, nope, plush toys?, you will have to buy some for hundreds of dollars from Etsy, DVDs?, not a chance, any in-park presence?, you might find a better chance to see Fancy Nancy meeting guests than anyone from the Boiling Isles at the parks, only some shirts(that were sold at Hot Topic stores) and two books that were based around episodes from S1), this Disney show deserved better, especially after winning one award(a Peabody Award that is well deserved in 2021), even though this was the best thing to come from the Disney company this decade so far, especially since the company has been on a downward spiral like they did in the 1980's or mid 2000's(pre-Iger).
Why The Owl House really got canned
So with that said, TokyoPop(or anyone) needs to reconsider and un-cancel their plans on their Owl House light novel, and have it see the light of day on store shelves, since the show concluded on April 2023, it would be a solid continuation of the show since there's a ton of potential especially after viewers saw that epilogue where Luz and her friends time skipped four years after the events of "Watching & Dreaming", where the Boiling Isles became a happy place after Belos was "defeated", and we see the characters all grown up.
Also, this show had some strong themes of LGBT throughout the show's life, especially with its main character, Luz Noceda(voiced by Sarah Nicole Robles), as supporting character, Amity Blight(voiced by Mae Whitman) had a crush on Luz, and started dating, before becoming canon in season 2, also in season 2, the fandom was introduced to Disney's first non-binary character, Raine Whispers(voiced by Avi Roque), as they were introduced in "Eda's Requiem", as Eda Clawthrone(voiced by Wendie Malick) was hanging out with them before not talking with each other until that moment, and also in the first of the specials from that shortened third season, Vee(voiced by Michaela Dietz), a basilisk who can shape-shift into anything(not unlike Camilo from Encanto) started to date a non-binary person named Masha(voiced by Grey DeLisle), but sadly due to "executive interference", the couple got very little screen time. Plus, Willow Park(voiced by Tati Gabrielle) has two dads, Gilbert & Harvey(voiced by Eric Bauza & Matt Chapman respectively)
I think this is a great idea for a light novel, where we can see these characters in their W&D appearances again, since the show didn't have enough time for more of that, so this needs to get the attention of TokyoPop, Disney, and anyone else
