We represent eleven Franklin Square families that formulate the not-for-profit organization of the 12u Franklin Square Tigers Travel Baseball team.

As residents of Franklin Square, we pay a Special Park District Tax to use and maintain the Town of Hempstead- Rath Park.

The Town of Hempstead has recently announced that going forward, all teams will be required to pay an exorbitant and costly HOURLY fee to utilize the baseball fields, even just to hold practice sessions. This fee is in addition to the Special Park District Tax that all residents of Franklin Square already pay. 

We are humbly asking that you please join us in signing this petition, to be submitted to Town of Hempstead Supervisor Don Clavin and all of our local elected officials asking them to reverse this unfair, confiscatory and burdensome fee to permit all Franklin Square Travel Baseball teams to use the fields, in the ONLY park in our town, at no additional cost.
