India is famous for its linguistic culture with 22 official languages and 100 + dialects. Marathi ranks third in the list of most spoken languages in India and the tenth most spoken language in the world with 83 million speakers( as in 2011 census). It is a language rich in words and feelings. But, Duolingo offers only one (Hindi) Indian language in its courses. Please sign this petition if you think Duolingo should add Marathi to its courses, so that people around the globe come to know about this beautiful language that is a gateway to one of the most religiously and ethnically diverse nations in the world, India.
