Please Make Nathan Fyfe Eligible For The Brownlow Medal.

Please Make Nathan Fyfe Eligible For The Brownlow Medal.
The issue
Fremantle Dockers star Nathan Fyfe is one of the best and fairest players in the AFL. In Round 2 this year, Fyfe was handed a controversial two match suspension for a perfect bump which caused the heads of him and Gold Coast's Michael Rischitelli to clash.
This season the AFL introduced a new rule that players that opt to bump rather than tackle and cause a head clash will be charged by the Match Review Committee for rough conduct.
After Fyfe's ban, there has been 3 equivalent bumps that where ruled legal.
This is very unfair of the Match Review Committee to pick on one of the game's finest young stars.
He has got what it takes to win a Brownlow Medal and was widely tipped to be one of the favourites to win the prestigious award in 2014, and has a very big chance of winning it, and is now ineligible to win it because of that ridiculous rule.
People watch Australian Rules as the bump is a beauty of the game. It has to be saved.
Damian Barrett thinks that players suspended for that new rule should be eligible for the Brownlow, and so they should be.
Us Fremantle supporters and the rest of the AFL community were in shock about Fyfe's suspension. Either it has to be overturned or the Brownlow ineligibility ruling will have to be changed.
We, together with the fans of our fellow 17 AFL clubs, are uniting as one to have our massive say on this.
