To stop the Sale of St john Ambulance Station in Fenn Road

To stop the Sale of St john Ambulance Station in Fenn Road
The Issue
Save Our Ambulance Station !
We the undersigned would like to stop the St John Ambulance Station in Fenn Road Halstead being sold for commercial purposes and for it instead to be used as a community building. The St John Ambulance Station was built in 2012 on allotment land given to them and built with funding from the National Lottery funding.
In exchange for the allotment land being given, conditions were attached to building to ensure that it remained as an ambulance station or for the purposes of providing voluntary community health care. As this was allotment land another condition was that they enter a 999 year contract with the Allotments Holders, allowing them access to parking, toilets, water and to holding meetings three time a year.
The building is up for sale, to ease the sale and achieve maximum value the agent Savill’s want Braintree District Council to remove all the conditions leaving the allotment holders depriving them of their rights to parking, toilets, water, or the right to hold meetings at the station as well as stopping the building being used for the community. and not pay the council back 80% of the value if they sold the property.
This would allow the community time to raise the funds to purchase the building for the 'Community'.
