The Issue

We understand the original marketing & sales strategy behind setting all product release dates to Fridays, which did maximize consumer convenience, but this has ironically become the wall preventing children from accessing the product.  Many stores that sell their TGC at 100-120% MRSPs are "sold out" within the first hours of store opening at 9 or 10 AM on Fridays, when the children are all in school.

Please consider a release period that'll be exclusively for the children (accompanied by their parent/guardian) in the same week or days of the official release dates and set the sale time to 5 PM once or twice a year, or based on the region's children's day.

Japan: May 5th (Tuesday) at 5 PM
UK: May 10th (Sunday @4PM)
USA: June 14th.
Canada/United Nations: Nov 20th

Note: This petition used 'AI' tools when producing numerous potential solutions to problems with accessibility that persisted for more than a year.  Some of my friends or their children have opted out of collecting in the past 1-2 years.  Seeing hundreds or thousands of adults periodically lining up for hours to buy presents for their children and, in some cases, being scraplers, is extremely unproductive for our society and a negative byproduct of the current scarcity. The AI solution includes a cut-and-dry implementation of a ban or restrictions on the resale of newly released sealed products for the first three weeks after their launch, or on selling them for a price exceeding 120% (MSRP) on platforms such as eBay, Marketplace, TGC Player, and others.

Some site administrations may refuse due to conflicts of interest, but many countries are increasingly enforcing regulations against ticket touting for concerts, sports, and events. Some nations have even implemented outright bans or penalties for those caught violating these regulations. We believe there should be minimal to zero government involvement in these matters.

These can be resolved among Pokémon (Bug-)catching fans. Waiting around for the problem to disappear hasn't been fruitful, so we wrote this petition to Satoshi, the first Pokémon fan. Please ask Pokémon Company to amend or add an annual EX release date that can only be purchased by children after school hours.

**Retailers with a "Limit of 3 per household" policy should change it to "maximum of 2 units per family" until all customers are able to make their purchases. If stock is limited, the store may reduce the limit to 1 unit with a markup of $2 to $4, ensuring that each customer can obtain at least 1 units before seconds become available.**

Purchase requirements:
Children (age 5-12) with their guardian. Stores with less traffic can include middle school students.

As a veteran of the hobby, I am concerned that the current market distortions will eventually create a generation gap in the Pokemon TCG community. The concepts of "愛" > (ai) and consideration have been integrated into this proposal's revision.

Thank you.

A local shoutout goes to Zephyr for being the first in my region to implement a "fair raffle system," and to Ebgames (Canada), Indigo for releasing products at their market-retailer-suggested prices when they could have priced them higher. And the hundred parents whom I communicated with, and Kyra.
