By refusing to work with filmmakers who want theatrical releases, Netflix has now made it clear that they are the enemy, not ally of cinema. We must stem this malicious act to all filmmakers who still have a vision and who are already constantly doing everyghing they could to restore and preserve the art of cinema. The purely shallow business decision by Netflix will give a devastating blow to the industry as well as the idea of spectatorship. This is an open attack on cinema and all cinephiles across the world, and we would not accept it.
