To hell with the smell ! No more polluting our communities air

The Issue

What is that terrible smell in the air?

The picture above showing a pollution cloud produced by Coco paving plant was taken on, Tuesday October, 8th 2024 at 8:30 am. The smell was terrible while my kids, myself and other neighbourhood kids and families were waiting in pollution filled air for the school bus at St Joseph Catholic School.

My Neighbors and Oshawa Community, Please sign the petition and help me in the fight for change

Have you had to close your windows because the smell of pollution and burning plastic in the air outside?

The polluted burning smell is caused by Coco Paving Plant at 1255 Wilson Rd N, Oshawa. They have and continue to ruin the air quality in our neighbourhoods and this has been overlooked for way to long.

Exposure to these fumes can cause eye, nose, and throat irritation, nausea, and headaches.

This pollution will;

  • Ruin your access to clean fresh air
  • Ruin a pleasant day outside
  • Cause your house value to drop

Please, join me in the fight for clean air. Our community deserves to breath pollution free air.

I plan on taking this petition to regional & City Councilor, Bob Chapman, City Councilor, Bradley Marks, and MPP for Oshawa, Jennifer French.

What I hope to achieve is.

  • Have Coco paving provide higher smoke stacks and filters for the pollution fumes,
  • Have more regulation on the amount of pollution that can be exhausted into our communities
  • Best case scenario, have Coco paving relocate to a less populated area.

Your health is worth fighting for. Please help me advocate for our communities right for fresh air. If you feel Coco paving is blocking your access to fresh air, I encourage you to sign the petition and call to make a formal complaint. The louder our community gets about the pollution the better.

Google, "Ontario report pollution and spills" and report an incident online. Every person who files a complaint will be taken seriouly and followed up by a Minisrty of the environment officer. Your voice matters! Every complaint we make will help corroborate that, your health matters, pollution in our community is not acceptable.
