We, the undersigned electors and citizens qualified to vote at Town Meetings and Referendums of the Town of Guilford, hereby request that the Board of Selectmen extend the moratorium on cannabis dispensaries in Guilford until December 31, 2024 and to place a non-binding question on the November 5, 2024 ballot asking "Should recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries be allowed in Guilford?"  The Town of Guilford shall promote the ballot question via the Guilford mass communication system at least three times prior to November 5, 2024, thus ensuring as large a participation as possible on this question.  The Town should also schedule an informational session regarding cannabis dispensaries and the effect they have had on other communities to be held at either the Community Center or the High School prior to November 5, 2024.
