The alarming increase in the number of Doctors, Nurses, and medical personnel getting afflicted by  deadly Covid-19 and testing positive is a matter od deep concern.  If this line of defence , the most important in fighting the crisis falls even God cannot save us from disaster of enormous proportions. Even while heartily appreciating the herculean efforts on the part of the govts both at the centre and states, we humbly feel that the issue of protecting the frontline medical professionals fighting the menace has not been given the importance it deserves and the urgency it demands .

As of today around 100 doctors and nurses have been affected , it is reported by thev and have tested positive and hospitals are getting closed. The worst development that must be avoided at any cost.

Doctors and nurses and other members of the medical fraternity are fighting this war virtually with their back to the wall in the absence of PPEs and would continue to do so in the service of the nation.

While appreciating the tremendous recognition given, in the interest of a more effective and vigorous fight and to ensure the utmost safety and guarantee of lives of doctors and nurses and medical attendants we seek immediate intervention at the highest level to expedite and treat this unfolding , dangerous tragedy with the urgency it deserves by ordering and ensuring adequate quantity of PPEs and stop and nip this trend at the earliest .

We appeal to the Hon. PM to take up this matter immediately and protect the lives of medical personnel which is absolutely essential to fight and win this battle with limited loss of life.
