To Ensure A Senior School is Built We Must Have A Bridge Between Manydown North & South!
Why this petition matters

Winklebury residents want a local senior school!
Connect Manydown North & South with a connecting bridge!
To ensure that Winklebury gets the Senior school it needs and deserves, there must be a bridge connecting the Manydown North and Manydown South housing developments!
There is provision for a senior school in the Manydown North 3500 homes development in Basingstoke. It is vital that this senior school is bulit in Manydown North to ensure that the residents of Winklebury have a senior school built near to them, especially after their local Fort Hill senior school was closed by Hampshire County Council and is now part of a housing regeneration scheme with Vivid Housing Association.
The proposed Manydown South development is even larger with circa 10,000 houses planned. If there is no bridge crossing the railway line to connect these two large housing developments, residents of Manydown South will not be able to get easy access to the senior school, which will mean that there is a very real danger of the senior school provision being transferred to Manydown South, it being the larger development. This would be a travesty for the residents of Winklebury who have been campaigning for a local senior school for years.
Please sign this petition to show Hampshire County Council, and Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council that it is imperative that a bridge is planned to connect both Manydown developments!
