As a parent to a disabled child it becomes frustrating to find fun things to do to get out of the house with. Some places do SEND sessions but most of them are really early in the morning or when the place closes, and I find it very unfair that my child, who didn’t ask to be different, is having to be treated very differently to children without disabilities.

Whenever we go to a playground my already broken heart becomes a little bit more cracked to see other children enjoy things that my child simply can’t, but also because there is nothing for my child to enjoy at all the playgrounds dotted around the town. We have to travel miles and miles to just simply use a playground that is suitable for her buggy/wheelchair. It really makes an already lonely parent feel even lonelier. 

I would love it if there was more suitable places for children who have very low muscle tone that are unable to sit up without any support to enjoy abit of normality that other children may take for granted, and allow parents who are in similar positions to meet eachother and be a support network.
