CABLE THEFT @ HOSPITAL SUBSTATION

We as the residents of Ward 3 demand that TMPD and The City of Tshwane put security measures in place to secure the Hospital Substaion which seems to be the new target for cable thieves. The power outages causes our appliances to be damaged, our food to spoil and is very inconvenient to us. Some residents have been without power for more than 24hrs due to the thieves vandalizing the whole substation.

Which substation in Ward 3 will be next?
We suggest a private security company to be employed to work in conjunction with SAPS, TMPD and City of Tshwane.

Measures should be put in place for stronger and harsher penalties and punishment for people found in possession of stolen copper. This includes and pertains to second hand scrap dealers.
