"Belief in God is all I need and I act accordingly"

That is the philosophy of Irving William Vance Jr. learned and applied behind bars to make the most of a terrible situation. He made some very grievous decisions as a teen and will never stop being remorseful and making amends. Now, he has also been given a 2nd chance after 22 years that saw him mature into a man anyone would be proud of. We ask your help to show the governor and parole board that our community strongly supports his parole or pardon.

Mr. Vance is the embodiment of positive growth that led Virginia to finally offer parole opportunities to people who got decades of prison time for youthful errors. From a challenging childhood, he impulsively made a terrible mistake while still a kid. Forced to grow up in the worst setting, he made the best of it reflecting on close calls and experiences to heart, he matured. Learning patience, discipline, and discernment in friends  he does not want freedom to catch up on lost time, but to live right before God and make a positive impact in his present and future.

Irving's path led him to a powerful personal christian faith that he has nurtured and fed with peers and family to show support for his 2nd chance.
