TIME MANAGEMENT AND REDUCE WORKLOAD FOR ABM STUDENTS AND HAVE A CHILL REST
The Issue
We are Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) students , we are among countless others who contend daily with excessive homework assignments. This high workload not only exhausts us, but also robs us of valuable time we could spend with our families or engage in restful activities that are beneficial for our overall well-being.
Research has indicated that balancing a heavy workload with self-care and family time is crucial for improving student performance and mental health. As per the American Psychological Association, teens need 8 to 10 hours of sleep each night for their cognitive development, yet many students are sleeping far less due to homework overload.
Our appeal is simple: We request a genuine review and reduction of the homework load given to us. We understand the importance of homework in reinforcing what we learn, but it must also be recognized that an excess can defeat its very purpose, leading to burnout and decreased learning.
This is not just about making our lives easier; it's about our overall well-being and our ability to be productive students. Striking a balance between educational requirements and personal time will help us retain information better, remain mentally healthy and foster ties with our families, which is just as integral to our development.
