Minnesotans are ready to take action against the coronavirus. We are urging Tim Walz to join other states in taking preventative measures and closing Minnesota schools. We have a unique opportunity to get ahead of the spread of COVID-19, but now is the time for immediate and decisive action. While we recognize your rationale behind keeping schools open, we also believe that widespread testing has not been available to properly gauge the level of infection in Minnesota. Without this knowledge, we have no idea how much the virus has spread within our communities.

History will remember us for the steps that we took to prevent this outbreak. We have an opportunity to join forces with other great states in this country to protect our families and the at-risk communities at large. 

We are asking for the immediate closure of our schools, and stronger recommendations of social distancing.
