Megan O'Connell started this petition to Tim Houston (Nova Scotia Legislature)

Nova Scotia’s premier, Tim Houston, doesn’t stand towards the raise in minimum wage, saying “a minimum wage job isn’t a real job.” Words and actions like these effect our province for citizens who work a minimum wage job and survive off of each pay check.

I believe that if you perform work in the results of money whether it’s part-time, full-time, or short-time, it is considered a time. Employed citizens pay a big part of taxes following their gross pay/income, So anyone that is paying taxes prior to work is considered employed whether or not it’s minimum wage.

Tim Houston has the opportunity to lift some day to day stress off of family’s and individuals, but still refuses and proceeds to criticize whether jobs are considered real because of their pay. You would imagine as the leader of a province you would want better for the people instead of worse.

Stand with me towards the raise of minimum wage to 15.00 to help the rising cost for affordable living.
