TikTok Violating creators right to speech.

TikTok Violating creators right to speech.
Tiktok is basically known for sharing experiences, dances, food recipes and views, yes! political views, social issue views, and other points of views! Yet, when people of the “leftist” side of things, democrats, centrists or even apolitical point of view’s, get banned, get suspended, get silenced just for expressing their point of views/opinions! America is known for it’s so called “Freedom”, and I say so called, since many other tech companies, such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and now Tiktok are restricting our first amendment, FREEDOM OF SPEECH! TikTok has managed to outrun all of the aforementioned, by completely banning accounts that are falsely and/or mass reported! According to BusinessOfApps:
TikTok key statistics
- TikTok generated an estimated $4.6 billion revenue in 2021, a 142% increase year-on-year
- TikTok had 1.2 billion monthly active users in Q4 2021 and is expected to reach 1.5 billion by the end of 2022
- In China, TikTok is accessed by over 600 million users daily
- TikTok has been downloaded over three billion times
the amount of revenue they make is ridiculous and for them to NOT have a team of actual people dedicated towards reviewing account restrictions or appeals, is not only highly unprofessional but also a violation of their own guidelines by suspending accounts on the pretenses of misinformation, sexual misconduct and nudity, hate speech, etc. When in reality, mass reporting accounts just because people disagree doesn’t make those random accusations true. TikTok violates it’s own guidelines on the daily, by having people show their private parts, acting as if they are dancing or exercising, by letting big accounts send their followers, on direct orders to falsely report a smaller account, by having children exploited by their parent(s) and/or guardian(s) solely for monetary gain or fame, even when they’re endangering that child, by making them dance with little clothes on, letting them talk to strangers while dueling, letting their kids videos be stitched by complete strangers, adult strangers, using them to spread misinformation about abortion or other social issues, as well as political propaganda or agendas, which endanger a child’s welfare and safety. Even though I am not pleading for children’s rights, I am however using it as an example, since TikTok uses the rhetoric of child safety when in reality it’s about who makes the platform the most money. Tiktoks guidelines are not applied to everyone, only to those that generate the less money for them. So, in conclusion, TikTok doesn’t care about their so called guidelines, or about children being safe, it cares about profit even if that means having a half naked woman on camera, despite them saying the app is “family” friendly; If anything, I don’t know how is that better from people having open discussions/debates and sharing their points of views and/or opinions, to twerking, linking only fans accounts on their instagram bios, which they link on TikTok and again, using the guises of exercise or dancing to promote pages that actually violate TikTok’s guidelines. The rules should apply to everyone fairly and evenly. All we are asking is for this billionaire social media company to abide justly by its own guidelines or to hire real groups of people that can make the app safe and rule accordingly and justly for creators that get penalized on false pretenses.
