I would Love to have a skatepark built at Summer lake Park. As an avid biker, skater and scooter rider, many others along with me, think it would be amazing to have a skate park constructed. I think it would be good for the youth in our community, along with adding value to the park and bringing in more visitors. There is baseball fields, tennis courts, dog parks etc, and a skatepark would be another wonderful addition. The closest skate park to the summer lake park area is roughly 2.5 miles away crossing a major highway. Crossing this highway whenever you want to go to the skatepark is sketchy, and something I hate doing. We need a place to hangout and exercise after school or on weekends. It may even be fun for some adults, during the pandemic we all haven’t been able to do the things we love. Helping us build this skatepark will give many people the opportunity to get out and have some fun.
