Recently a new bill has been proposed and the frameworks laid out. This is the ‘Green New Deal’. A bill that takes big steps into changing our negative impact on the environment. Over the course of the years following the potential passing of this bill, fossil fuel use, and the combustion engine itself will be phased out. The bill is also about the job opportunity America will then create with the presence of these new renewable energy industries. The impact humanity has had on the environment for the last 100+ years is starting to show dramatic effects, and without this change some of our children might not have a future on this planet. The time to act is now. Living in Kentucky I fear for our representatives concern for the environment might be too little. We are a major producer of fossil fuels. This petition is for Thomas Massie, Kentucky’s 4th district representative. These signatures are from the voters in your district that wish you not concern yourself with the money you may make off of supporting the fossil fuel industry, and look toward the future with new job opportunities for the state, and the country. Vote in favor of the ‘Green  New Deal’ when the time comes. The people are asking for change and it is your duty to listen to the people you represent. We will be heard, and there will be change for the future.
