"They are FRIENDS, NOT POUNDS!" STOP THE DOG ABUSE!

The Issue

Stray dogs are homeless canines. They are generally unconfined and are regularly observed in cities. On the streets, they are born, raised, and eventually pass away. They spend the majority of the day scavenging for food on the streets. In science, they are referred to as free-ranging animals.

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that there are 200 million stray dogs around the globe as of 2022. Free-range dogs make up 75%–85% of the world's dog population.Free-range dogs are those that aren't contained and therefore, roam free. They can be feral, stray, wild, federal, or village dogs.

Due to specific circumstances, stray dogs might pose a threat to human health such as the transmission of like rabies, leptospirosis, and parasites. If the population of stray dogs are not reduced, people and their pets or livestock may also experience random attacks.

We, ASOciation, aims to help the dogs with these main goals indicated below:

  • Stand against dog abuse and neglect
  • Defend, save, and rescue stray canines
  • Prevent the spread of diseases from animals to people
  • Render a home for and provide basic needs for the dogs that shall be rescued
  • Avert the increasing number of animals lingering around to ensure a peaceful neighborhood

Our pets are like humans too. They also feel hurt and depressed whenever humans hurt and do things that will affect them physically, emotionally and mentally. Not providing them their basic needs - such as their food and water will make them really sad, for they might think that their masters do not love and care for them. It is also a pity to see them abandoned and homeless, starving in the streets and scavenging for food in the rubbish just to relieve their hunger. The most painful thing to witness is most of them have carved red scars and wounds found on their skinny bodies under their filthy furs, which could be caused by sharp and heavy objects that humans used to pound and hit on them. One might find it difficult to think that these adorable and cute bunch of sweeties who are loyal and known to be a man's best friend  are just a pound for others.

Help us stop this painful scenario and let us get them into the tender, caring and loving hands and sweet homes that they deserve. If an individual deserves to be loved, animals need to be loved too.
