We the people reject the Grenfell Inquiry panel appointments

Trust - for the public institutions in place to protect us - is at rock bottom. Yet despite promises to find swift justice for the victims of the Grenfell fire, the UK Government has appointed two unfit people to lead the public response:
Sir Ken Knight - Fire safety independent panel chair advised against retrofitting sprinklers and authored report advocating £200m fire service cuts.
Sir Martin Moore-Bick - Judge. Among his more controversial cases was a decision allowing Westminster council to rehouse a tenant 50 miles away in Milton Keynes. It was later overturned by the supreme court.
We the undersigned reject these appointments. Try again.
- "Mistrust is a serious issue here" - Martin Howe, solicitor for Grenfell survivors
- Justice 4 Grenfell Legal Adviser Michael Mansfield QC, who has met survivors of the fire, said it was “unbelievable that lessons are not learned” from the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse, which is now on its fourth chairman.
- A duplicate petition was created and kindly removed by a Mr Steve Shopland
