Marijuana/Weed/Cannabis is a Class B drug in the UK and can be punished by a caution or even imprisonment. Tobacco and Alcohol are both legal. Tobacco causes 6 million deaths worldwide every year and Alcohol causes 2.5 million deaths. These are both legal in the UK. However, Marijuana is a safe option with 0 worldwide deaths.

The UK Government, the Police and the UK people can benefit from the legalization of this natural herb.

The Government can use marijuana to get tax and therefore the money can go to useful things like helping homelessness, treating sick people and boosting the military.

The Police have less operations to worry about and can focus more or catching real criminals who commit murder, violence, rape and criminal damage.

The UK people can benefit as it is a substance loved by many and isn't harmful. It can be used to deal with stress, anxiety, terminal illnesses which involve pain and the people can enjoy the effect of the herb.

I therefore ask, Theresa May, could you call for a nationwide referendum and ask the people of Britain if they, or if they would not want the natural herb to be legalized. It can benefit all. I am not asking for any other drug as they have been proven to be harmful and cause people to do things they wouldn't normally do, but just this one substance. Thanks you
