The truth is out - Asad Shah was killed for blasphemy

Dear supporter,
Thanks again for signing my petition. As you may have heard today, Tanveer Ahmed, the man accused of killing Mr Shah has confessed to his crime but claims that he did it to 'protect the finality of the prophethood'. Words that are, chillingly, identical to those used by Khatme Nabuwat.
Many people are afraid to get involved in 'intra-Muslim' issues but this is more than that. Hate groups like Khatme Nabuwat work by spreading fear and hatred of others - they seek to divide us into ever smaller groups and it is no wonder that they have been shown to have links with violent extremist organisations (see http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-35959202).
Khatme Nabuwat literature freely available (on their website) criticises Ahmadis for rejecting violent Jihad and accuses them of being 'an offshoot British organisation' that 'helps Zionism'. Their hatred of Ahmadis is entwined with their hatred of many other sections of society.
They have spread this kind of aggressive propaganda unchecked for many years throughout Asia - in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Indonesia in particular - and it has emboldened them. In places like Pakistan, saying that someone has insulted Islam is justification enough for murder and perhaps that is why Tanveer Ahmed felt the need to release a statement saying his issue wasn't with Christians, it was that he needed to avenge the insult to his religion. We need to show people like Tanveer Ahmed that nothing justifies killing another person, certainly not a theological difference of opinion.
Thanks again for signing, for more information, please see the article attached which features an interview with me regarding the petition. And please keep sharing so that we can get our decision makers to listen and send a strong message to those that believe that their message of hate will go unchallenged here in the UK.
In solidarity,
Sadaf Ahmed
