It has been many years since the removal of both the ‘Woodroffe School Song’ and the school’s Latin motto.

So it is with Daring and Boldness that this petition has been created. Many of those associated with Woodroffe have endeavored to live lives inspired by the school and it’s staff that is so well represented in the words and music of Thornton Pearn’s stirring and powerful composition.

There has been much interest on social media about appealing to the present Headmaster to reinstate a tradition that links us all to those ‘triumphs that have gone before’.

My hope is that this petition will reach the many thousands of present and ex students and staff, parents and friends of Woodroffe and with a response so great that it will, at the very least, create discussion with the Head and the Board of Governors.

For our Alma Mater - “May we be worthy yet of thee."
