Uncensor Free Solo (PG-13) and Splash (PG) on Disney Plus!

Uncensor Free Solo (PG-13) and Splash (PG) on Disney Plus!
The Issue
On Friday, July 10th, Disney added X-men: Days of Future Past (2014), rated PG-13, uncensored to Disney Plus. X-Men Days of Future Past includes one use of the "F-bomb" as well as shots of Hugh Jackman's bare buttocks. Both of these are allowed in PG-13 films.
At launch on Nov 12, 2019, Disney Plus included Free Solo (2018), a respected National Geographic documentary film which is also rated PG-13 and itself contains one use of the "F-bomb." However, Disney uploaded an altered cut with the foul language "muted." There is no title card acknowledging the film has been edited for content. One use of the "f-bomb" is allowed in PG-13 films, per MPAA guidelines and this language should be re-instated into the cut used on the service. Not only that, Disney Plus improperly lists it as rated TV-PG for Language. This, despite the primary cuss word being removed. At launch, the film *did* properly say PG-13, they've since changed the rating. The film's official website even mentions clearly its actual rating of PG-13 - https://films.nationalgeographic.com/free-solo It appears Disney has added a "television cut" since the rating says TV-PG and not PG-13. I am not paying to be presented "television cuts" of films.
On Feb 14, 2020, Disney added Splash (1984) which is rated PG. This film includes multiple moments of Daryl Hannah's bare buttocks. Unlike Hugh Jackman's, hers is terribly covered up by CGI "hair," a subject of much ridicule and frustration by the press when it first was publicized in April. At the time, they had even improperly listed the film as rated PG-13, despite being PG. Since then they've changed the rating to say TV-PG. As with Free Solo, it appears the altered cut they have uploaded is actually a TELEVISION edit. I believe in both cases it was a mistake and they've decided just to "live with it" by altering the ratings of both to TV-PG. This is not acceptable.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is absolute need for consistency with regards to censorship (as in, DON'T). Censorship of this variety is disgusting and a crime against art. That is NOT an invitation to swap out X-Men DOFP or the upcoming additions of X-Men and X-Men Apocalypse later this summer with censored TV cuts. If you can't provide the films properly, don't provide them at all.
The Disney Plus policies allow for TV-14 and film PG-13 ratings. There is ZERO excuse for uploading films that fall within these categories in a censored form. There are parental controls on the service for a reason and it's ultimately a parent's responsibility to determine for their own children what they have access to. Disney is not "in loco parentis." PG-13 means children under 13 should be viewing with an adult present. If you are concerned about them not being "family friendly" content, then it's time for Bob Chapek, Robert Iger, and Rebecca Campbell to bring the service into the modern era and redefine what that means to fit modern sensibilities and modern families.
Outlier, outspoken, radical conservative groups like TFP Student Action or One Million Moms that would seek to remove short fantastic shorts like Out for portraying LGBT relationships (https://tfpstudentaction.org/petitions/protest-disney-pixar-short-film-out or service stand-out Hamilton for even it's one "barely" there use of the "f-bomb" (https://onemillionmoms.com/current-campaigns/sign-petition-urging-disney-to-remove-f-word-in-new-movie/ are NOT the people Disney should be getting praise from. When the Parents Television Council, of all groups, applauded Disney's censorship of Splash (https://www.parentstv.org/press-releases/ptc-commends-disney-for-splash-edits you should have immediately reversed course!
If you don't consider the Free Solo and Splash films appropriate uncut, drop all PG-13 films, including your Star Wars and MCU pillars. A woman's butt is not more sexual or inappropriate than a man's and this transgressive way of thinking is toxic and dangerous. Disney should be a leader in both promoting inclusive and progressive ways of thinking as well as honoring and respecting its rich library of art.
Kids (who shouldn't be choosing their films unsupervised anyway) are also 100 times more likely to be attracted to X-Men films on Disney Plus than an 80s film or a documentary and thus far more likely to hear the "f-bomb" in X-Men than in Free Solo, were it to be properly added unaltered.
Subscribers to this service deserve to see the definitive versions of these films and should not be subjected to additional censorship. In the case of both Splash and Free Solo it looks like you have actually uploaded censored "television" cuts based on the peculiar use of TV-PG ratings for films that are rated by the MPAA as PG-13 and PG, respectively.
As additional X-Men films are added in America and 2021 sees the addition of Adventures in Babysitting ("Don't F- with the babysitter") as well as more PG-13 rated Fox films, we demand proper respect paid to them.
As an investor, I am imploring you to start that goodwill now by re-uploading Splash (PG) and Free Solo (PG-13) unaltered with their properly assigned MPAA film ratings.
