The planned closure of the Disney store in Belfast is unacceptable. Many of the staff have worked in this store for over 25 years and have dedicated themselves to the success of the Disney store in Belfast. During the pandemic they remained faithful to their employer and now their employer is getting a tad too big for its cooperate boots and deciding to close the store.  Disney plans to move all shopping to online. However this removes Walt Disney’s core theme of the experience for the child. It removes the Disney magic. Walts success came from creating magical experiences and closing the store goes against everything he stood for. Many of us have visited this store over the last 30 years as children and as adults with our own children, family and friends. The reason we shop here is purely the Disney magic that children get to experience. This store is never quiet and the people of Northern Ireland have always supported it leading to its success.
