The Star Wars Saga is of deep cultural significance for citizens of the galaxy the world over. For children and adults alike, the story of the struggle of the Rebel Alliance against the Empire, the story of the Force, and the story of one family's struggle through the grey that is morality became integral to their experience in the world.
The release of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, in 1999, came with great anticipation; upon its release, fans everywhere uttered groans of disappointment. This disappointment continued with the 2002 release of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Finally, the disenfranchisement of fans was cemented with the 2005 release of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
With the purchase of Lucasfilm by Disney, new leadership has emerged in the ongoing construction of this saga. We call upon Disney, upon Lucasfilm and upon Kathleen Kennedy to REPEAL AND REPLACE Star Wars Episodes I, II, and III. We demand a change, a re-writing of the the history that is Star Wars, to better reflect the needs and desires of galactic citizens everywhere!
